After much deliberation about whether or not the lighting would make the sprinkler system go off, and dealing with difficult eyelashes, we’ve successfully finished our first concept: “Blood Orange” (Rowe’s brilliant name choice).

So I just came across the weirdest thing. I googled my name. Ever done it? Sure it’s dorky, but you never know what you will find. Anyhoo. I found this:

After browsing, seems fishy. But I’m still glad to be somewhere on the internet…I think? I don’t know how I feel about this.

Goodness, no time for blogging these days!!! Let’s see…what is new!!!
GDMA Major Project:
Working on a concert festival benefit to raise money for teenagers with cancer at BC Childrens Hospital.
GDMA’s fundraising:
Fundraising thus far has been through selling vegan cupcakes (http://frostbitescupcakery.com/) through our cupcake company Frostbites. We’ve also had a calendar in the mix, amazing journals, notebooks and t-shirts. More information on our fantabulous amazingly sexy blog: http://blog.gdma2010.com/

Photography:
I’ve recently rented a lighting kit from GDMA (gotta talk to Nick though because there are no bulbs!!! So only 1/3 lights are usable at this point). Took some quick snapshots to test it out:

Hopefully sometime this weekend I’ll be able to shoot my muse (doesn’t that sound so creepy!!!) Veronika! I also plan on entering this college photo contest that Joann and Peter pointed out in the hall today.
Personal Life:
HAH! Whose got a personal life now that I’m rocking 6 four hour classes and working at a web design company. Oh you just wait because Jessica-the-fool has also been applying at Earls again this week! Tryna get another job to pay the bills. Let’s hear it for jobs!!!! Hahaha I’m a dork. However! Halloween is coming up and although I don’t have any plans solidified I believe my costume is! I’m thinking….get ready for it… an arubix cube. That’s right. You heard me. Let’s see if I can figure out a way to make it actually work…not likely. But still. Who doesn’t want to spray paint a huge cardboard box!!
Hahahha Cheers everyone!!!!
Latest photoshoot was a success. Probably the most excited shoot I’ve done in a very long time. We did an Edie Sedgwick shoot. Had an amazing girl, Elizabeth, doing make up. We went up on the roof of a building down in East Van and shot, as well as in this large exposed elevator. It was really awesome to finally be doing a more ‘professional’ style shoot.
Here’s a link for more detail.
Here’s some shots.
